MotorBackdrop product guide
MotorBackdrop is a browser-based vehicle photo studio for independent car dealers and dealership teams. Upload existing photographs, choose a showroom, review a sample, then download approved images for your listings. You do not need a TraderWay website.
Who it is for
Dealers can prepare exterior, interior and detail photographs in one vehicle project. Owners and administrators manage shared credits, branding and team access. Members can create, review and download their organisation’s photographs.
How a vehicle set works
Create a project and upload JPG, PNG or WebP photographs, up to 15 MB each and at least 640 × 480 pixels. Mark each photo as exterior, interior or detail.
For exterior photographs, select a studio, turntable or outdoor background, or keep the original setting. Choose framing and optionally add your saved dealer logo. Generate one sample and compare it with the source before approving the rest of the set.
Interior photographs and turntables
Interior and detail photographs retain their surroundings with restrained exposure and colour adjustments. A showroom is not inserted inside a cabin.
Turntable backgrounds are circular platforms in still photographs. MotorBackdrop does not generate a rotating 360-degree vehicle tour or new camera angles.
Credits and payments
One credit prepares one new photo. Identical approved results can be reused without another generation charge. New accounts start with five trial credits when registration is available.
Available credit packs and their current checkout currency appear in the billing page. Payment must be confirmed before credits are added. A completed checkout redirect alone does not add credits.
Outputs and quality review
Generated photographs are 1600 × 1200 pixels. Approved downloads are also available as a 1200 × 1200 square or a 1600 × 900 widescreen image, with padding to preserve the vehicle. Approved sets can be downloaded together.
AI editing can make mistakes. Compare badges, wheels, paint, equipment, number plates and visible condition with the original. Reject inaccurate results or request the included repair where available. You approve the photographs; MotorBackdrop does not publish them to your listings automatically.
Private media and branding
Source photographs and generated results are private to your organisation and are served through authenticated routes. Your originals are retained separately from generated results.
Save your dealer logo, private backgrounds and reusable styles for the next vehicle. Number-plate branding is a manually positioned overlay on the edited result. Review its placement before downloading.
Languages and support
The core website and app are available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Arabic. The dealer journal is published in English.
