Contact and information we use

MotorBackdrop handles account and service information to run your vehicle photo studio. Contact motorbackdrop@gmail.com about privacy. We use your name, email, business and billing details, team membership, account preferences, photographs, logos, background uploads, project settings, credit activity and payment references. We also use session, access and error information to secure and maintain the service. Payment card details are entered with Stripe rather than stored in MotorBackdrop.

Why we use it

We use account and project information to deliver the service you request, process purchases and provide support. Security records help prevent fraud and unauthorised access. Records may also be needed to meet accounting or other legal obligations. Core account information is required to provide the account; optional branding and preferences are your choice.

Service providers and your photos

DigitalOcean provides hosting and private object storage. OpenAI processes source photographs and selected background references to generate edited images. Brevo delivers account and project emails. Stripe processes payments and related billing information. These providers receive information needed for their role. Account and project emails can include your name, email address and project name. Your uploads are not a public showroom gallery; access is scoped to your organisation and authorised team members.

Our application server and photo storage are configured in DigitalOcean’s London region. External providers may process information in other countries under their own service terms and data-processing arrangements. Contact us for information about arrangements relevant to your account.

Retention and deletion

Project photos remain in your organisation so you can review and download them. Owners can schedule organisation deletion, with a 30-day waiting period, from Account. Team members can close their individual account. Financial, security and backup records may need to remain beyond account closure for accounting, dispute handling or recovery; retention depends on the record’s purpose and applicable requirements. Contact us with a specific deletion request.

Cookies and messages

MotorBackdrop uses cookies needed for sign-in, session security and your selected language. Account verification, password resets and invitation messages support account access. Optional project notifications can be changed in your account preferences. Agreement to the terms is not consent to marketing emails.

Your choices and requests

You can update account information and manage your team through Account. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of your information or to raise an objection or restriction request. The rights available depend on the information and the law that applies. You may also contact your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
